New Delhi, Feb 4 (PTI) – The national capital experienced light rain overnight, bringing some relief from the dry weather. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), more showers and thunderstorms are likely on Tuesday.

The minimum temperature was recorded at 12.8 degrees Celsius, which is 4.4 degrees above the seasonal average. At 8:30 AM, the humidity level stood at 92 percent. The IMD has forecast a cloudy sky throughout the day with a strong possibility of rain, while the maximum temperature is expected to settle around 21 degrees Celsius.

Despite the light rainfall, Delhi's air quality remained in the "poor" category, with an Air Quality Index (AQI) of 249 at 9 AM, as per the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB). AQI values between 201 and 300 indicate poor air quality, which may cause breathing discomfort for sensitive groups.

With more rain expected, weather conditions may help improve air quality in the coming days. However, residents are advised to stay cautious, especially those with respiratory conditions.
