Madhya Pradesh: 19-Year-Old Woman Abducted, Gang-Raped in Shivpuri; Two Arrested

A 19-year-old woman was allegedly abducted and gang-raped by two men in the Shivpuri district of Madhya Pradesh, police confirmed on Saturday. The incident reportedly occurred during the early hours of Friday in the jurisdiction of Bairad police station, situated approximately 50 kilometers from Shivpuri district headquarters.

According to Shiv Singh Yadav, Station House Officer (SHO) of Bairad, the young woman had stepped out of her residence around 1 am to relieve herself. At that moment, she was forcefully abducted by one of the accused men, who took her to another man's house located nearby. There, both men allegedly sexually assaulted her.

The victim later managed to escape and returned home, where she narrated the traumatic incident to her family. Following her statement, the family approached the local police to lodge a complaint.

Acting swiftly, the police arrested both accused individuals shortly after the complaint was registered. The accused have been booked under relevant sections, including charges of abduction, gang rape, and criminal intimidation, confirmed the SHO.

The investigation is currently ongoing, and further details will be revealed as the inquiry progresses.
