CM Mohan Yadav Announces New Identity for Schools at 'Praveshotsav Programme-2025'
In a significant move to emphasize cultural heritage and education, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav on Tuesday announced that all CM Rise Schools across the state would be renamed as "Sandipani Vidyalaya." This name draws inspiration from the legendary Sandipani Ashram, revered in Hindu mythology as the place where Lord Krishna pursued his education.Addressing the state-level Praveshotsav Programme-2025—an initiative under the ongoing 'School Chale Hum' campaign aimed at boosting admissions in government schools—Yadav highlighted the importance of education, linking it with historical teachings. He stated, "Lord Krishna received education in the Sandipani Ashram. Thus, these schools across Madhya Pradesh will now be named after Acharya Sandipani, making them 'Sandipani Vidyalaya'."
Education Linked to Cultural Roots
Chief Minister Yadav further drew parallels between Lord Krishna’s educational journey and the broader mission to uplift educational standards in the state. He noted that Krishna not only ended the tyrannical rule of Kansa but also emphasized the transformative power of education.Speaking of his personal experience, Yadav proudly shared that he himself was educated in government schools. Highlighting the potential and excellence of such institutions, he cited examples of prominent Indian leaders who were products of the government education system, including former presidents Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam and Dr. Rajendra Prasad, along with former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri.
Madhya Pradesh Government's Commitment to Education
To encourage and support students, the Madhya Pradesh government continues to provide substantial resources such as coaching, uniforms, laptops, bicycles, and scooters. Chief Minister Yadav reinforced the state government's commitment to enhancing educational infrastructure and student welfare, attributing significant progress in the sector to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership and vision.Launch of Education Portal and Admission Drive
During the event, CM Yadav also inaugurated a dedicated online portal developed by the state education department to facilitate smooth and accessible school admissions. He actively participated by welcoming girl students, formally completing their admissions into the kindergarten (KG 2) class, and distributing gifts as part of the admission ceremony.The renaming of CM Rise Schools to "Sandipani Vidyalaya" signifies a renewed commitment by Madhya Pradesh to blending educational excellence with cultural significance.
