Maha Kumbh 2025 Concludes in Prayagraj: CM Yogi Adityanath Expresses Gratitude to PM Modi

Prayagraj/Lucknow, Feb 27: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath extended his heartfelt gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his guidance in the successful execution of Maha Kumbh 2025, which concluded in Prayagraj on Monday. He praised the collective efforts of all stakeholders, emphasizing that "with a little political will and the right support, any result can be achieved."

Taking to social media platform X, Adityanath acknowledged Modi’s leadership, stating, “Respected Prime Minister, it is the result of your successful guidance that the 'Maha Yagya of Unity, Equality, Harmony' Maha Kumbh-2025, Prayagraj has concluded today, setting new benchmarks in security, cleanliness, good governance, grandeur, and divinity.”

A Record-Breaking Gathering

Highlighting the scale of the sacred event, the Chief Minister revealed that over 66 crore devotees, including revered sadhus and saints, took a holy dip in the Triveni Sangam over the 45-day-long religious congregation.

He underscored the global significance of Maha Kumbh, describing it as a festival of humanity that strengthens the spirit of ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’ (The world is one family).

PM Modi Lauds Yogi’s Leadership

In a blog post, Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised Adityanath’s leadership, saying, “As an MP from Uttar Pradesh, I can proudly say that the government, administration, and people collectively, under Adityanath's leadership, made this 'Maha Kumbh of unity' successful.”

Following the event’s conclusion, Yogi Adityanath offered prayers to the Ganga in Prayagraj, marking the occasion with spiritual reverence. Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya, Brajesh Pathak, Minister Swatantradev Singh, and Minister Nand Gopal Gupta were also present.

Honoring Frontline Workers

Addressing a felicitation event in Prayagraj, CM Adityanath distributed certificates to sanitation and health workers, acknowledging their pivotal role in ensuring the festival’s success.

"In fulfilling Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of making this Kumbh a truly grand and divine global event, I extend my gratitude to sanitation workers, health workers, transport department staff, and all security personnel for their dedicated efforts," he said.

Collective Efforts Lead to Success

Emphasizing the importance of teamwork, Adityanath reiterated that collaborative efforts yield great results, as witnessed in the Maha Kumbh.

He also extended his appreciation to the Prayagraj Mela Authority, administrative officers, and police personnel, saying, “If there is even a little political will and the right support, any result can be achieved. The success of Maha Kumbh 2025 is proof of that.”

Additionally, he applauded the residents of Prayagraj for their hospitality, stating that they treated the two-month-long event as their own, playing a crucial role in its seamless execution.

The Maha Kumbh 2025, which began on January 13, concluded on February 26, leaving behind a legacy of unparalleled organization, spirituality, and unity.
