Kalli Thanda (Andhra Pradesh), May 10 – Maharashtra Industries Minister Uday Samant on Saturday visited the family of Mudavath Murali Naik, a soldier who sacrificed his life during recent cross-border shelling in Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch district.


In a solemn gesture of solidarity, Minister Samant met the bereaved family members at their home in Kalli Thanda village, located in Andhra Pradesh’s Sri Sathyasai district. The visit was aimed at offering condolences and acknowledging the courage and service of Naik, who was martyred amid escalating hostilities along the border.

According to an official release, Samant’s visit was part of a broader outreach to honor the sacrifices made by armed forces personnel in defending the nation.

Following his visit, the minister is scheduled to travel to Bengaluru.
