Police, Navy, Coast Guard on Alert; SOPs in Place Across State

Pune, May 10 – Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Saturday assured that all necessary security measures are being implemented across the state in light of escalating tensions between India and Pakistan.

Speaking to reporters after offering prayers at Sant Dnyaneshwar's shrine in Alandi village, Fadnavis said, "Pakistan is a terrorist state. They have been supporting terrorism, but India won't stop. Under the leadership of PM Modi, our armed forces are giving a befitting response."

Security Reviewed, Resources Deployed

Addressing concerns about public safety, the Chief Minister said that a comprehensive review meeting was held in Mumbai on Friday to assess the security scenario. "All security precautions have been taken in the state in the wake of the current situation. Security information is being shared with district units and required resources are being made available," he confirmed.

Fadnavis further emphasized that all law enforcement and maritime agencies are operating in high-alert mode. "Police, Navy, and Coast Guard are on alert. Regular exercises are being conducted. Actions outlined in the ‘war book’ are being followed meticulously," he stated.

Political Question Dodged with Humor

On being asked about the potential unification of the two Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) factions, Fadnavis refused to comment, instead responding with a light-hearted remark. "Ask Supriya Sule or Ajit Pawar. Why make me 'Begani Shaadi Mein Abdulla Diwana'?" he quipped, brushing aside the political speculation.

As tensions along the border continue, Maharashtra's administration remains vigilant, focusing on preparedness and coordination among security forces to ensure public safety.
