Jammu, Feb 3 (PTI) – A heated land dispute in the outskirts of Jammu took a violent turn when a man allegedly fired shots, leading to his arrest, police said on Monday.
The incident, which took place in the Lale Da Bagh area under the jurisdiction of Domana police station, gained attention after a video of the altercation surfaced on social media.
According to officials, the dispute stemmed from a claim over 21.5 marlas of land between Rekha Devi and Brij Raj Singh, the brother of the property's previous owner, Brij Bhushan Singh Jamwal. The confrontation escalated on Saturday, during which Brij Raj Singh allegedly fired three shots. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
Police swiftly intervened and arrested Brij Raj Singh, booking him under the Arms Act. Authorities confirmed that two more individuals involved in the case are expected to be taken into custody soon.
Further investigation into the matter is underway.
