Resident of Medhauli Village Booked Under BNS Section 152 for Social Media Post
Sambhal (Uttar Pradesh), May 14 — A man has been arrested in Uttar Pradesh's Sambhal district for allegedly making indecent remarks about Prime Minister Narendra Modi on social media, police officials confirmed on Wednesday.According to Deepak Tiwari, the Circle Officer of Gunnaur, the accused has been identified as Sudhir Yadav, a resident of Medhauli village. Authorities acted upon the complaint and detained Yadav for his alleged online conduct.
He has been charged under Section 152 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), a provision that deals with actions deemed to endanger India's sovereignty, unity, and integrity.
The investigation into the matter is ongoing.
