New Delhi, May 14 — A 40-year-old man named Pintu was allegedly beaten to death following a heated altercation in the Tilak Nagar area of Delhi on Tuesday night, police said.
According to officials, Pintu was rushed to Deen Dayal Upadhyay (DDU) Hospital around 9:45 pm, where doctors declared him brought dead.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (West) Vichitra Veer confirmed that two individuals have been apprehended in connection with the case. "Preliminary enquiry revealed that Pintu quarrelled with two people who allegedly punched and kicked him brutally," the DCP stated.
Eyewitnesses and local residents assisted the police in identifying the suspects. Following the incident, senior officers visited the hospital and the crime scene, and a case was promptly registered.
Police teams have been deployed, and both accused are currently under interrogation. Further investigation is ongoing to determine the exact sequence of events and the motive behind the assault.
