Palghar, May 17 — A 36-year-old man was discovered dead with multiple stab wounds at a playground in Maharashtra’s Palghar district, triggering a police investigation into what appears to be a case of murder.
The body of the victim, identified as Abhishek Ram Singh, was found lying in a pool of blood by passersby in Pasthal town on Friday morning. Authorities were immediately alerted to the scene.
Inspector Nivas Kanse confirmed that Singh had sustained several stab injuries. His body was subsequently sent to a government hospital for post-mortem examination.
Following the discovery, a case was registered under section 103(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, which pertains to murder. Police have launched an investigation to determine the motive and identify the perpetrators involved.
