Man loses Rs 16 lakh in share trading, ends life in Nashik

Nashik, Feb 27: A tragic incident unfolded in Nashik when a 28-year-old man allegedly set himself on fire after incurring a significant loss of ₹16 lakh in share trading. The deceased, identified as Rajendra Kolhe, was a resident of Chandwad taluka, police officials confirmed on Thursday.


The incident took place on Wednesday in Pimpalgaon Bahula village near Satpur. According to police reports, Kolhe had visited a temple to observe Mahashivratri before taking the drastic step. Despite his friends stepping in to repay the financial loss, he remained deeply distressed, reportedly feeling he had failed his parents.


Suffering 90 percent burns, Kolhe succumbed to his injuries. Authorities have registered an accidental death case, and further investigations are ongoing.
