27-Year-Old Victim Referred to Lucknow Trauma Centre; Police Launch Manhunt
Amethi, Uttar Pradesh — April 2: A minor disagreement over car parking took a violent turn in Amethi’s Itroor village on Tuesday evening, leaving a 27-year-old man critically injured after being shot in the face.The incident occurred under the jurisdiction of the Jagdishpur police station. According to officials, the victim, Irfan, was standing near a local shop when a speeding car arrived and parked nearby, stirring up dust. Irfan reportedly objected to the way the car was driven and parked, which led to a heated exchange with its occupants.
The confrontation escalated rapidly, and one of the individuals in the vehicle allegedly opened fire on Irfan. A bullet struck him in the jaw, leaving him seriously wounded.
Locals immediately rushed Irfan to the community health centre in Jagdishpur. Due to the severity of his injuries, doctors referred him to the trauma centre in Lucknow for advanced treatment.
Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Harendra Kumar confirmed that efforts are underway to track down the suspects. “We are reviewing CCTV footage from the surrounding area to identify and apprehend those involved in the shooting,” he said.
The incident has sparked concern in the local community over rising aggression linked to everyday altercations. Investigations remain ongoing.
