Mangaluru, Apr 5 — The areca nut market witnessed steady pricing this Saturday, with minor fluctuations across different categories.
Old Supari (per quintal) traded between ₹35,500 and ₹47,500, with the model price pegged at ₹41,500.
New Supari ranged from ₹35,500 to ₹43,000, settling at a model price of ₹39,250.
Koka, a lower grade variety, was priced between ₹24,500 and ₹26,000, with the model rate at ₹25,250.
Coconut Prices Show Clear Grade Differentiation
The coconut market also showed stability, though prices varied based on quality.
First-quality coconuts (per thousand) were priced from ₹25,000 to ₹30,000, with a model price of ₹28,000.
Second-quality coconuts ranged from ₹20,000 to ₹25,000, with the model price standing at ₹22,000.
These market rates provide a key reference for traders and farmers in coastal Karnataka, helping them make informed decisions based on prevailing price trends.
