Manipur Government Transfers 14 Police Officers, Including Two District Superintendents

Imphal, April 2 – In a significant reshuffle, the Manipur government has transferred 14 police officers, including the Superintendent of Police (SP) of two districts, according to an official order released today. This move is part of an ongoing effort to optimize law enforcement across the state.

Key Transfers in Manipur Police​

As per the Personnel and Administrative Reforms department, Shaikh Mohd Zakir, the Superintendent of Police (SP) of Jiribam, has been transferred to Kakching district. Priyadarshini Laishram, the current SP of Kakching, will take over as the new SP of Jiribam, marking a key shift in the district leadership.

Other notable transfers include:
  • Gaurav Dogra, the Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) of Yairipok, has been appointed as the SDPO of Singjamei.
  • Abhinav, the Assistant Commandant of the 1st Manipur Rifles, will take on the additional responsibility of the Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) for Kangpokpi.
  • Akoijam Sadananda Singh will be the new Additional SP for Traffic in Imphal East.
  • Keisham Bojoukumar Singh has been transferred as the Additional SP of Vigilance.
  • Rattana Ngasekpam will serve as the new Additional SP for the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) in the SD division.
These changes are aimed at enhancing the efficiency and operational effectiveness of the police force in their respective areas.
