Blaze Breaks Out at MRL Tyres Factory in Surajpur; No Casualties Reported

Noida, Uttar Pradesh – April 5:
A major fire broke out at the MRL Tyres manufacturing unit in Noida’s Surajpur area late Friday night, triggering a massive firefighting response that continued well into Saturday.

The blaze reportedly erupted around 10:30 p.m. at the factory located under the Surajpur police station limits. According to Chief Fire Officer Pradeep Kumar, as soon as information about the incident was received, 20 fire tenders were immediately dispatched to the site to bring the situation under control.

Despite the intensity of the fire, no casualties have been reported, providing relief amid the large-scale industrial emergency.

“About 80 percent of the fire has been controlled so far,” Kumar confirmed on Saturday, adding that efforts to fully douse the flames are still in progress. The cause of the fire is yet to be determined.

The operation has stretched for over 12 hours, highlighting the magnitude of the incident and the challenges faced by the fire department due to the presence of flammable materials typically found in tyre manufacturing units.

Authorities continue to monitor the situation closely as cooling and containment efforts continue.
