No casualties reported; firefighting efforts underway with 15 tankers deployed​


Dhar, Madhya Pradesh — April 11:
A major fire broke out early Friday morning at a PVC pipe manufacturing unit located in Sector 3 of the Pithampur Industrial Area in Madhya Pradesh’s Dhar district. Authorities have confirmed that no injuries have been reported so far.


The blaze, which sent thick plumes of smoke visible from several kilometers away, prompted a swift emergency response from local firefighting units and district administration officials.


Unclear cause of the fire​


While the exact cause of the fire remains unknown, officials are actively investigating the source. Speaking about the situation, Rishikant Shukla, Chief Municipal Officer of Pithampur Municipality, confirmed the incident and shared updates on the containment efforts.


“A fire has broken out in a factory that manufactures PVC pipes. Fifteen water tankers have been deployed to ensure an uninterrupted supply to the firefighters. We expect the situation to be fully under control in the next two to three hours,” said Shukla.

Emergency teams on the ground​


Following the alert, a large-scale firefighting operation was launched. Multiple units are on-site, working tirelessly to bring the blaze under control and prevent it from spreading to nearby structures.


As of now, there have been no reports of casualties, and evacuation or rescue operations have not been deemed necessary.


Local authorities continue to monitor the situation closely, and further updates are expected once the fire is fully extinguished.
