
Baripada (Odisha), February 13 At least three people died and five others were injured after a tractor fell into a river in the Mayurbhanj district of Odisha, police said.
The accident occurred near the Murgasahi village, which falls under the Karanjia block of the district, on Thursday evening.
Eight people were on board the tractor when it was returning from the Jhumukakudar village.
The driver lost control of the vehicle, and it fell into the Deo River, according to Karanjia Sub-divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Nabakrushna Nayak.
The bodies have been sent for post-mortem examination.
The injured were taken to the Karanjia government hospital, he added.
