REASI, FEBRUARY 11: Deputy Commissioner Reasi, Nidhi Malik, chaired a meeting of the District Road Safety Committee to review road safety measures and discuss the Road Safety Action Plan for 2026-27.

The meeting focused on preventing road accidents through strict implementation of safety norms recommended by the Supreme Court. The Superintending Engineer, PWD (R&B), informed that accident-prone black spots, blind curves, and vulnerable locations have been identified, and corrective measures are underway. Eighteen old roads have also been marked for the installation of crash barriers, retaining walls, signage, and parapets.
