Micromax Enters Renewable Energy Sector with ‘Startup Energy,’ Sets Up 5GW Solar Panel Manufacturing Unit

New Delhi, Feb 26 – Indian consumer electronics giant Micromax Informatics has ventured into the renewable energy sector with the launch of Startup Energy, marking a significant step towards sustainable power solutions in India.

The new initiative aims to revolutionize solar panel manufacturing in the country, supporting India's ambitious clean energy goals and promoting the widespread adoption of renewable energy.

Driving India’s Solar Revolution
Startup Energy will focus on manufacturing high-efficiency solar panels for residential, commercial, and industrial applications, ensuring affordable and scalable solar power solutions across the country.

"Our goal is to make clean energy more accessible, reliable, and cost-effective, ensuring that individuals and businesses alike can benefit from sustainable power solutions," said Rajesh Agarwal, Managing Director, Micromax Informatics.

To strengthen its presence in the sector, Micromax has signed a strategic contract with China-based Jinchen for the phased deployment of a 5GW advanced solar module manufacturing line. The project will be executed in multiple phases, integrating automation and cutting-edge module production technologies to enhance efficiency.

Advanced Manufacturing & R&D Initiatives
Startup Energy will establish a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility, leveraging automation and precision engineering to drive quality and efficiency in solar panel production. Additionally, the company plans to explore strategic R&D partnerships to develop next-generation solar solutions, further enhancing energy efficiency and long-term sustainability.

With this expansion, Micromax aims to make a strong impact on India's renewable energy sector, aligning with the country's growing demand for clean and self-sufficient power solutions.
