Delegates to Explore Historic Warangal and UNESCO-listed Ramappa Temple
Hyderabad, May 14 – Contestants of Miss World 2025, representing 109 countries, continued their India visit with a culturally immersive tour across Telangana. On Wednesday, they embarked on a journey to explore the architectural, spiritual, and artistic heritage of the state.According to official sources, the delegates have been divided into two groups for the cultural expedition. Group 1, comprising participants from the Americas and the Caribbean, is scheduled to visit the Warangal Fort, the famed 1000 Pillar Temple, and the Bhadrakali Temple, all emblematic of the Kakatiya dynasty’s grandeur.
Simultaneously, Group 2, made up of contestants from Africa, will visit the Ramappa Temple in Palampet, a 13th-century marvel that was inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2021. The temple, named after its chief architect Ramappa, was the government’s sole nomination for the UNESCO recognition in 2019.
At Ramappa, the delegates will also be treated to a live performance of the traditional Perini dance, a classical form that flourished under the Kakatiya reign.
The cultural tour is designed to provide the contestants with insights into Telangana’s rich heritage, particularly the history, traditions, and legacy of the Kakatiya dynasty.
Upcoming Visit to Yadagirigutta and Pochampally
On May 15, the Miss World delegates are set to visit the Yadagirigutta Temple, a spiritual destination, followed by an exploration of Pochampally village, recognized by the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) for its iconic Ikat weaving tradition.A Grand Welcome in Hyderabad
