Aizawl, February 13, 2026: Mizoram Chief Minister Lalduhoma today chaired a meeting at his office to review the ongoing development of the Master Plan for the Thenzawl Peace City project.
During the meeting, officials examined the zoning proposals for the 60-square-kilometer area designated for the Peace City. The master plan includes specific zones allocated for residential use, commercial areas, educational institutions, health facilities, green parks, and a sports complex. Provisions have also been made for an Industrial Hub. Detailed planning for the specific infrastructure and facilities to be developed within these zones will follow.
The meeting also served as a platform to discuss and identify necessary modifications to the current draft of the Master Plan.
It was highlighted that a proposal for a "Greenfield City" project, intended to be situated at the heart of the Thenzawl Peace City, has been submitted for funding under the Scheme for Special Assistance to States for Capital Investment (SASCI). Officials noted that work on this component could commence immediately once the proposal is approved.
