Amaravati, Feb 27: Voting for the Member of Legislative Council (MLC) elections in three constituencies of Andhra Pradesh commenced early Thursday morning. The elections are being conducted for two graduate constituencies spanning the undivided districts of East Godavari, West Godavari, Krishna, and Guntur, along with one teacher constituency covering Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, and Visakhapatnam.
Polling began at 8 AM and will continue until 4 PM, with elaborate security measures in place at all 1,062 polling stations across 18 districts.

YSRCP Opts Out, Counting on March 3
The YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) has decided to stay out of the MLC elections. Meanwhile, the Election Commission has scheduled the counting of votes for March 3.With tight security in place, polling is expected to be smooth, ensuring a fair electoral process across Andhra Pradesh.
