Mumbai, Feb 3 (PTI): A beer bar in suburban Mumbai faced police action for allegedly flouting Maharashtra government regulations, leading to an FIR against four individuals, including the bar's manager, officials confirmed on Monday.
The raid was conducted by the Crime Branch Unit 8 at Pushpak Beer Bar in Kalina, Santacruz (East), late Sunday night following a tip-off. Among those booked was the bar manager, Gunanand Shatrughan Jha.
During the inspection, authorities found six women performing at the establishment without prominently displaying their identity cards, violating government norms. The four accused, including Jha, were taken into custody but later released after being served notices, the official added.
Further investigations are underway to determine additional violations.
