Kerala Chief Electoral Officer Ratan U. Kelkar visited Edamalakkudi, the state's first tribal panchayat in Munnar, to review the progress of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) ahead of the upcoming Assembly elections. He stated that the proceedings related to SIR in the tribal area would be completed by February 14, and the final voter list is scheduled to be published on February 21. The CEO added that voters who need to include their names or make changes to the list should contact the Booth Level Officer or the Electoral Registration Officer. Names can be added to the list until the day before the final date for submitting nomination papers for the Assembly elections. Mr. Kelkar further stated that the SIR hearing process has already been completed in 64 Assembly constituencies across the State.
