New Delhi, February 4 (PTI) – The National Seeds Corporation Ltd (NSC), a public sector enterprise under the Ministry of Agriculture, has announced a final dividend of Rs 35.30 crore for the financial year 2023-24. This marks the highest-ever dividend payout in the corporation's history, reflecting its commitment to both agricultural development and financial sustainability.
According to an official statement, the final dividend, which represents 5 percent of NSC's net worth, is in line with the guidelines issued by the Department of Investment and Public Asset Management (DIPAM).
The dividend cheque was handed over to Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan by NSC Chairperson and Managing Director, Maninder Kaur Dwivedi. During the ceremony, Minister Chouhan emphasized the importance of providing farmers with high-quality seeds and highlighted NSC's crucial role in ensuring this.
Agriculture Secretary Devesh Chaturvedi and Joint Secretary (Seeds) Ajeet Kumar Sahu were also present at the event.
