February 12, Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir Waqf Board today inaugurated newly constructed kiosks and laid the foundation stone for the construction and beautification of the Ladies Sabaat at the revered Ziyarat Sharief of Hazrat Sultan-ul-Arifeen Sheikh Hamza Makhdoom Sahib (R.A) in Srinagar.
The inauguration was attended by Minister of State and Chairperson of J&K Waqf Board, Dr. Syed Darakhshan Andrabi, along with Board members, officials, and local residents.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Andrabi said the initiative aims to enhance facilities for devotees, particularly women visitors, by providing improved amenities, comfort, and convenience at the shrine. She reiterated the Board’s commitment to the preservation, development, and beautification of religious places across Jammu and Kashmir.
The newly constructed kiosks are expected to streamline services and regulate facilities within the shrine premises. The reconstruction and beautification of the Ladies Sabaat will provide better space and arrangements for women devotees visiting the shrine.
Locals and devotees present at the event praised the initiative, describing it as a positive step towards better management and infrastructure development at the historic shrine.
