New Delhi, February 8 BJP chief Nitin Nabin said on Sunday that the Modi government "achieved a trade deal with the US through diplomatic and patient negotiations, ensuring the interests of farmers and workers are protected."

Nabin made this statement at Ramleela Maidan while flagging off 500 electric buses along with Chief Minister Rekha Gupta and her Cabinet ministers.

The Modi government "successfully negotiated a trade deal with the US through diplomacy and patience," the BJP president stated.

"I congratulate Prime Minister Narendra Modi for this achievement. He has protected the interests of farmers, workers, and enhanced the country's self-respect," Nabin said.

He also congratulated the Delhi chief minister, stating that the 500 electric buses were a gift for the people of Delhi, who had handed a resounding victory to the BJP in the Assembly elections on February 8, 2023. The BJP won 48 out of the 70 Assembly seats in the elections, which were announced on February 8, 2023.

The BJP government in Delhi has, over the past year, focused on zero-tolerance towards corruption, accountable decision-making, and promoting digital governance, while also implementing initiatives such as the Ayushman Bharat Health Scheme, he said.

The previous government in Delhi relied on "excuses," while the current BJP government believes in performance and working for the people.

This change is evident in the government run by the BJP, which always strives to create hope and bring development to the doorstep of every citizen, he said, citing the Atal Canteens opened in Delhi, which provide affordable meals to needy people at a price of Rs 5 per person.
