NMDC’s Key Role in India’s Iron Ore Industry

Headquartered in Hyderabad, NMDC operates under the Ministry of Steel and remains India’s largest iron ore producer, contributing approximately 20% of the country's total iron ore demand.

Beyond iron ore, NMDC has been actively involved in mineral exploration, covering copper, rock phosphate, limestone, magnesite, diamond, tungsten, and beach sands across some of the country's most remote locations.

With its steady production growth, NMDC continues to play a vital role in supporting India's steel and infrastructure sectors.
