Hyderabad, February 1, 2025 – NMDC Limited (BSE: 526371, NSE: NMDC) has released its provisional production and sales figures for iron ore for January 2025, in compliance with Regulation 30 of the SEBI (LODR) Regulations, 2015.

Production & Sales Trends

  • Iron ore production for January 2025 stood at 5.10 million tonnes (MT), reflecting a year-on-year (YoY) increase from 4.54 MT in January 2024.
  • Sales for the month reached 4.48 MT, showing a marginal decline compared to 4.56 MT in January 2024.
  • Cumulative production up to January 2025 was 35.87 MT, slightly lower than 36.32 MT recorded in the same period last year.
  • Cumulative sales totaled 36.22 MT, a small decrease from 36.49 MT in January 2024.

Segment-Wise Performance

  • Chhattisgarh Operations: Production increased 12.3% YoY to 3.66 MT, while sales saw a slight dip from 3.06 MT in January 2024 to 2.93 MT in January 2025.
  • Karnataka Operations: Production grew 12.5% YoY to 1.44 MT, while sales showed a minor increase to 1.55 MT from 1.50 MT in the previous year.

Market Outlook

NMDC's performance in January 2025 indicates a strong production growth trajectory, particularly in Chhattisgarh and Karnataka.
