Gorakhpur, May 11 – In a bid to ease the seasonal rush of travelers, the North Eastern Railway (NER) has announced the launch of a summer special train service between Gorakhpur and Bengaluru.
According to Chief Public Relations Officer Pankaj Kumar Singh, the special train will operate three trips in each direction between the Sir M Visvesvaraya Terminal in Bengaluru and Gorakhpur. The service is designed to address the surge in passenger demand during the summer vacation period.
Train Schedule and Timings
Train No. 06529 will depart from Bengaluru at 7:00 PM on May 12, 19, and 26, and will reach Gorakhpur at 6:40 AM on the fourth day.Train No. 06530 will depart from Gorakhpur on May 16, 23, and 30, providing return trips for travelers heading south.
Coach Composition and Facilities
The special train will feature a total of 18 coaches, including:- 1 First AC coach
- 2 Second AC coaches
- 4 Third AC coaches
- 7 Sleeper class coaches
- 4 General compartments

The major scheduled halts include:- Kaduru
- Davangere
- Ghataprabha
- Pune
- Rani Kamlapati
- Veerangana Lakshmibai (Jhansi)
- Prayagraj Junction
- Varanasi

Officials noted that this temporary service is set to provide significant relief for passengers commuting between Purvanchal and Bengaluru, two regions that typically witness high travel volumes during the summer.The initiative reflects NER’s proactive approach to meeting passenger needs during peak travel seasons and improving long-distance connectivity across major Indian cities.
