
Army Commander Reviews Kashmir Security
Lt. Gen. Pratik Sharma evaluated the security arrangements and operational readiness of troops and logistics units across the Kashmir Valley, the Army said.
February 14, Srinagar: Northern Army Commander Lt. Gen. Pratik Sharma carried out a detailed assessment of security measures and combat preparedness in the Kashmir Valley, the Army said Saturday.
During his visit, Sharma reviewed the operational readiness of formations deployed in both North and South Kashmir, according to the Army’s Northern Command.
He was briefed on the functioning of the integrated intelligence grid, revised operational procedures, and coordinated response systems designed to address evolving security challenges in the region.
The commander also inspected a key logistics installation, where he examined the sustainment framework supporting frontline troops.
Emphasizing the importance of logistics in operational success, Sharma told personnel that a robust and dependable supply chain underpins combat effectiveness.
He praised the troops for their discipline and commitment, and commended the unit for maintaining a technically sound and mission-ready establishment capable of meeting the demands of modern warfare, the Army said.
