Bhubaneswar, Feb 4 (PTI) – In a significant step toward revolutionizing education, the Odisha government has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with CK-12 Foundation, a not-for-profit educational technology organization. The initiative aims to provide world-class educational resources to students, teachers, and schools across the state, an official confirmed.
The agreement was formalized by the School and Mass Education Department of Odisha in the presence of Chief Secretary Manoj Ahuja on Monday. Under this collaboration, CK-12 Foundation will offer free access to a range of digital content and advanced technology tools, including Artificial Intelligence (AI)-powered resources, to enhance learning experiences.
Speaking on the occasion, Chief Secretary Manoj Ahuja emphasized the transformative role of AI in governance and education. He highlighted that AI-powered tools can streamline administrative tasks, improve decision-making, and provide data-driven insights for policy implementation.
"By integrating AI into the education system, we can create a data-driven, student-centric environment that enhances overall learning outcomes, promotes efficiency, and prepares students for future technological advancements," Ahuja stated.
This initiative is expected to bridge educational gaps by equipping teachers with AI-assisted instructional resources, ensuring greater equity in education across Odisha. The partnership will also empower students to explore different learning styles and levels of competence, fostering innovation and adaptability in the education sector.
With the increasing emphasis on digital learning, the Odisha government’s move aligns with its broader vision of leveraging technology for inclusive and high-quality education.
