
Pallekele (Sri Lanka), February 12 Sri Lanka defeated Oman by 105 runs to secure their second consecutive victory in the T20 World Cup here on Thursday.
In a Group B match, Oman were restricted to 120 for nine, while chasing a challenging target of 226.
Mohammad Nadeem (53 not out) and Wasim Ali (27) fought valiantly for Oman, but the target proved too difficult to achieve.
For Sri Lanka, Dushmantha Chameera and Maheesh Theekshana each took two wickets.
Earlier, captain Dasun Shanaka, Pavan Ratnayake, and Kusal Mendis all scored fifties, as Sri Lanka posted a massive 225 for five.
Mendis (61 off 45 balls), Shanaka (50 off 20 balls), and Ratnayake (60 off 28 balls) dominated Oman's bowling.
