Victim dies on the spot; authorities launch hunt for truck driver
Thane, May 12 – A man was killed after a speeding truck lost control and crashed into his two-wheeler near the Kapurbawdi Bridge in Maharashtra’s Thane city late Sunday night, according to local civic authorities.The fatal accident occurred around 10 pm, with the impact throwing the rider off the scooter, resulting in his death at the scene, confirmed Yasin Tadvi, Chief of the Thane Municipal Corporation’s Disaster Management Cell.
Emergency services, including local police, city traffic personnel, and an ambulance team, were quickly deployed to the accident site. The victim’s body was subsequently sent for post-mortem.
A police officer stated that efforts are currently underway to trace the truck driver who fled the scene following the crash.
Authorities are investigating the incident, and further details are awaited as the probe continues.
