Hyderabad MP to Highlight Pakistan's Terror Links in Global Outreach Following Pahalgam Attack
Hyderabad, May 17 — All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief Asaduddin Owaisi on Saturday launched a scathing attack on Pakistan, accusing it of long-standing support for terrorism and declaring it a "threat to humanity." His remarks come ahead of his participation in the all-party delegations being dispatched by the Indian government to key world capitals in the wake of the Pahalgam terror attack and Operation Sindoor. In a sharp and fiery interview, the Hyderabad MP asserted that the time had come to inform the global community about the atrocities committed by Pakistan-sponsored terrorists over the years. “India has been a big victim of Pakistan-sponsored terrorism. We have seen the slaughtering of people since the time of Zia-ul-Haq,” he said.
‘Cannot Trust Pakistan’ Says AIMIM Chief
Calling out Pakistan's deep state, Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI), and military, Owaisi said, “You can never trust Pakistan as long as their objective is to destabilise Bharat.” He also emphasized that, despite being a vocal critic of the BJP, when national security is threatened, ideological differences become secondary.“Politically, we will continue to oppose the BJP’s ideology. But when our citizens are killed, there is no question of political differences coming in the way,” Owaisi remarked. He affirmed that his condemnation reflects the sentiment of the broader Indian Muslim community. “We are against the BJP's ideology, but when you come to my country and kill my countrymen, religion doesn’t stand in the way.”
Pakistan’s Strategy: Destabilise, Divide, Disrupt
The fifth-term parliamentarian underscored that Pakistan's objective has consistently been to destabilise India, sow communal discord, and derail its economic progress. “They have an unwritten doctrine — to spread hate, stall India’s growth, and create division. And they are not stopping.”He condemned Pakistan’s portrayal of itself as a guardian of Muslims, calling it deceptive. “This is nonsense. Nearly 20 crore Muslims live peacefully in India. That truth must also be conveyed to the world.”
'Pahalgam Killings Were Military-Style Executions'
Owaisi was particularly emotional while discussing the recent Pahalgam terror attack, which he described as a “military-style execution” in the most brutal form. “Victims were shot at point-blank range, their faces disfigured. Imagine the trauma their families will carry forever,” he said, adding that technical evidence from the NIA points to Pakistan’s direct involvement. He called for a unified approach, stating, “We are all in the same boat. If anyone drills a hole, we all sink. Our issues can be dealt with internally, but in matters of national security, unity is imperative.”
Global Community Must Be Informed, Says Owaisi
As part of the all-party delegations heading abroad next week, Owaisi stressed the need to present Pakistan’s role in incidents like the Kandahar hijack, 26/11 Mumbai attacks, the Parliament attack, Pathankot, Uri, and now Pahalgam. He said this is a historic opportunity for Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah to take strong diplomatic action while also reaching out to Kashmiris.Referring to recent protests in Kashmir against terrorism, Owaisi noted, “There is no support left for Pakistan-sponsored terrorism in the Valley. This must be seen as a moment to act decisively and compassionately.”
In conclusion, he reaffirmed that Pakistan's consistent use of terrorism as a state policy has turned it into a global threat, urging the world to stand with India against such forces.
