A spokesperson from Punjab Police's Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) said the suspects were apprehended during 162 intelligence-driven operations conducted throughout Punjab over the past week. Among the detained individuals, three were identified as highly dangerous operatives.

"Three extremely dangerous TTP members—Manmohan Singh, Naqeebullah, and Riyaz—were captured from Rawalpindi, Lahore, and Rahim Yar Khan, respectively," the CTD spokesperson revealed in an official statement.

The authorities recovered a significant amount of explosives and bomb-making materials, including:
  • 6,238 grams of explosives

  • 61 feet of safety fuse wire
  • 3 Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs)
  • Banned extremist literature
According to the police, the arrested terrorists had planned attacks targeting critical buildings in Lahore and other prominent cities across Punjab.

"Eighteen cases have been registered against the accused terrorists, and investigations are underway to uncover further details," the CTD spokesperson added.
