Lahore, May 13—The Pakistan Super League (PSL) will resume on May 17 following a ceasefire agreement between India and Pakistan, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) confirmed on Tuesday.

PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi announced the development via social media, stating that a revised schedule for the remainder of the tournament will be released shortly. The final match is now slated for May 25.

PSL Resumption After Suspension Due to Border Conflict

The PSL had been suspended earlier amid heightened tensions and a border conflict between India and Pakistan. Initially, the PCB had planned to shift the remaining fixtures to the UAE. However, this decision was reversed just a day later, leading to a temporary halt of the tournament.

Matches Likely in Rawalpindi and Lahore

A PCB source revealed that the remaining eight matches—including the eliminator, qualifier, and final—have been tentatively planned for venues in Rawalpindi and Lahore.

“The main issue is getting all the overseas players with different franchises to return for the remaining matches. The Board and the franchises are working around the clock to ensure the PSL is completed with the best players,” the source added.

The PCB is actively coordinating with franchises and international players to ensure the successful completion of the tournament under the revised schedule.
