Infiltration Attempt Foiled Near Abdulian Border Outpost
Jammu, April 5 – An infiltration attempt along the International Border in Jammu was thwarted by the Border Security Force (BSF) after an unidentified Pakistani intruder was shot dead in the RS Pura sector during the intervening night of April 4 and 5.According to a BSF spokesperson, the incident occurred near the Abdulian border outpost when alert troops noticed suspicious movement across the border. “The BSF troops observed an individual attempting to cross the International Border. Despite being challenged, the intruder ignored repeated warnings and continued moving forward,” the spokesperson said.
Sensing an imminent threat, BSF personnel opened fire, resulting in the intruder’s death. The identity and motive of the deceased are currently under investigation.
Body Sent for Postmortem; Protest Lodged with Pakistan
Following standard protocol, the BSF has lodged a strong protest with its Pakistani counterpart over the infiltration attempt. Meanwhile, official sources confirmed that the local police were informed, and the body was retrieved for postmortem and further legal formalities.This incident highlights the continued vigilance of BSF forces in securing India’s borders against cross-border threats.
