New Delhi, Feb 4 (PTI) – HomeExchange, a Paris-based home-sharing platform, has officially expanded into the Indian market, with plans to integrate up to 5,000 homes into its global network in the first year.
The company, which operates a unique home-swap model, aims to revolutionize travel by eliminating one of its biggest expenses—accommodation. In a statement, HomeExchange highlighted the appeal of swapping homes instead of paying for lodging, with no financial transactions occurring between hosts and guests.
HomeExchange offers access to homes in over 155 countries, allowing Indian members to enjoy unlimited stays across these destinations for a nominal annual fee of just Rs 7,500.
"We are thrilled to introduce HomeExchange to India, a market that highly values authentic, safe, and budget-friendly travel," said Charles-Edouard Girard, Co-Founder of HomeExchange. "With more than 210,000 members globally and a new exchange taking place every minute, our verified, members-only community ensures security and trust for all travelers. Plus, with property damage coverage of up to USD 1,000,000, Indian travelers can feel confident while exploring the world," he added.
The company plans to set up a base in Delhi-NCR to manage its local operations and strengthen its presence in India. HomeExchange aims to recruit between 3,000 to 5,000 Indian homes into its platform within its first year of operation in the country.
This expansion is part of the company's broader mission to make travel more accessible and affordable by tapping into the growing interest in sustainable and immersive travel experiences.
