New Delhi, Feb 4 (PTI) – The Election Commission (EC) issued a stern warning to its electoral machinery in Delhi on Tuesday, emphasizing that any partisan behavior that disrupts a level playing field will be considered "unpardonable."
This directive follows a formal complaint from AAP national convener Arvind Kejriwal, who raised concerns over alleged intimidation tactics ahead of the Delhi Assembly elections scheduled for Wednesday.
Speaking to the media after a meeting with EC officials, Kejriwal, alongside party leader Raghav Chadha, accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Delhi Police of engaging in "hooliganism" in an effort to instill fear among voters.
In response to the meeting, the Election Commission reiterated its position, stating that all election officials must uphold impartiality. "Any partisan conduct that disturbs a level playing field will be unpardonable," the EC emphasized in a statement shared on X (formerly Twitter).
