Patna, February 9 BJP president Nitin Nabin received a warm welcome in his hometown, Patna, on Monday, where he arrived for the first time after being appointed to the party's top position.
A large number of party workers were present at the airport to greet the 45-year-old leader, who drove directly to the Bapu Sabhagar auditorium, located about 7 km away, where the state BJP had organized a felicitation program.
Hundreds of BJP workers, riding motorcycles and wearing saffron turbans, waved the party flag as they drove along, with Bhojpuri songs celebrating the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar blaring from loudspeakers.
Nabin is likely to hold a meeting with the party's MPs from Bihar and members of the state legislature in the evening.
The Bankipur MLA, who continues to hold the seat despite relinquishing his ministerial position last December, is scheduled to attend the assembly session on Tuesday.
