Los Angeles, March 3: Actor Patrick Schwarzenegger, known for his role in "The White Lotus," recently opened up about his attempt to portray the iconic superhero Superman. Schwarzenegger disclosed that he auditioned for James Gunn's upcoming movie "Superman: Legacy," but unfortunately received no response for his self-taped audition.
During a candid conversation on the Happy Sad Confused podcast hosted by Josh Horowitz, Schwarzenegger, 31, shared insights about his past attempts at landing roles in popular superhero projects. He revealed having auditioned for three high-profile roles: Homelander from "The Boys," Superman in Gunn’s forthcoming film, and Golden Boy in "Gen V," the latter of which he successfully secured.
When asked by Horowitz if he had donned Superman's costume during the audition, Schwarzenegger humorously remarked, "No, I don’t think I got any feedback. I think it was like, ‘No, not for you.'"
Patrick Schwarzenegger is currently involved in the much-awaited third season of HBO's hit series "The White Lotus."
The role of Superman in James Gunn’s highly anticipated reboot eventually went to actor David Corenswet. The film, titled "Superman: Legacy," will also feature Rachel Brosnahan and Nicholas Hoult, and is scheduled for theatrical release on July 11.
