The Deputy Chief Minister of Jammu & Kashmir, Surinder Kumar Choudhary, today emphasized the need for people-centric governance in Jammu and Kashmir while meeting various public and individual delegations at the Civil Secretariat, Jammu.

Srinagar, February 16: The Deputy Chief Minister of Jammu & Kashmir, Surinder Kumar Choudhary, today emphasized the need for people-centric governance in Jammu and Kashmir while meeting various public and individual delegations at the Civil Secretariat, Jammu.

During the interactions, the Dy CM said that all efforts are being made to ensure the timely completion of developmental projects and prompt service delivery across all government offices.

The delegations who called on the Deputy Chief Minister hailed from Kishtwar, Rajouri, Jammu, Kathua, Baramulla, Srinagar, Ganderbal and other districts of Jammu and Kashmir. They raised issues pertaining to the construction of roads, bridges and culverts, mining-related matters, concerns of the labour class, employee-related issues and other public demands.

Choudhary assured the delegations that all genuine issues would be taken up with the concerned departments for prompt redressal. “Our agenda is to ensure time-bound grievance redressal and seamless relief to the people,” he said.

He further added that officers have been directed to give a compassionate hearing to public issues and adopt a positive approach for their timely resolution.
