Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday inaugurated the first phase of the NAMO Hospital in Silvassa, located in the Union Territory of Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu. Built at a cost of Rs 460 crore, the new 450-bed facility is expected to significantly enhance healthcare services in the region.

The NAMO Hospital is equipped with state-of-the-art medical infrastructure aimed at providing advanced healthcare services to the residents, particularly benefiting the local tribal communities. The modern facility underscores the government's continued commitment to improving public health infrastructure and accessibility in underserved areas.

An official noted that this hospital marks a major step forward in ensuring high-quality healthcare for the region's inhabitants, addressing critical health concerns with modern technology and specialized care.

The establishment of NAMO Hospital not only boosts healthcare availability but also aligns with efforts to bridge gaps in medical access for tribal populations, enhancing overall wellness and medical outcomes across Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu.
