High-Level Strategy Meeting Held in Delhi as Cross-Border Conflict Escalates

New Delhi, May 10 – Amid intensifying military hostilities with Pakistan, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday chaired a high-level meeting with top defence officials to assess the evolving security situation and devise future strategies.

The meeting brought together Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, Chief of Defence Staff General Anil Chauhan, and the chiefs of the Army, Navy, and Air Force. According to official sources, the focus was on a comprehensive review of national security, especially in light of the escalating cross-border attacks.

Indian armed forces have been responding "proportionately and adequately" to repeated Pakistani attempts to target Indian military installations, the officials noted.

In a significant development, Indian authorities confirmed that the Pakistan military is actively repositioning its troops closer to the border.

“The Pakistan military is observed to be moving their troops to the border areas,” said Colonel Sofiya Qureshi during a press briefing, where she appeared alongside Wing Commander Vyomika Singh and Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri.
The situation continues to remain volatile as both nations exchange strikes on military facilities, pushing regional stability into a critical phase.

This meeting is seen as a pivotal step by the Indian leadership to maintain operational readiness and reinforce national security protocols amidst the growing threat from across the border.
