PM Modi Urges Science and Innovation for ‘Viksit Bharat’ on National Science Day

New Delhi, Feb 28: Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended his greetings on National Science Day, emphasizing the role of science and innovation in shaping a developed India, or Viksit Bharat.

Taking to social media platform X, he shared, "Greetings on National Science Day to those passionate about science, particularly our young innovators. Let's keep popularising science and innovation and leveraging science to build a Viksit Bharat."

He also referenced his recent Mann Ki Baat address, where he encouraged youth participation in scientific exploration by dedicating "one day as a scientist" to engage in hands-on scientific activities.

National Science Day is observed annually in India to commemorate the groundbreaking discovery of the Raman Effectby physicist C.V. Raman on February 28, 1928. The discovery earned him the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1930, marking a significant milestone in India's scientific contributions.
