CM Inaugurates Beautification Projects at Sant Ravidas Temple, Highlights Inclusive Development​

Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, May 10 — Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Saturday said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision for a developed India draws deep inspiration from the ideals of Sant Ravidas. Speaking during a one-day visit to Ayodhya, the CM inaugurated the beautification of the ancient Sant Ravidas temple and the newly constructed Satsang Bhawan.

As part of his visit, Yogi Adityanath also participated in a community meal and received prasad alongside saints. “A new Ayodhya is taking shape and today this process has been further strengthened with the beautification of Sant Ravidas temple and the inauguration of Satsang Bhawan,” read an official press statement.

He extended congratulations to Mahant Banwari Pati Brahmachari Ji Maharaj for the spiritual and cultural upliftment work being done at the site.

Sant Ravidas: A Beacon of Unity and Reform​

Describing Sant Ravidas as a towering figure of the medieval Bhakti movement, the CM praised the saint for promoting social consciousness through karma and action, and for his stand against entrenched social evils.

“Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of a developed India draws inspiration from Saint Ravidas whose dream of a just, inclusive society forms the foundation of true national progress. Only by ending caste and economic inequalities can India become truly developed,” he asserted.

Reflecting on the saint’s legacy, Yogi remarked that during times of foreign invasions, when Sanatan Dharma faced threats, Sant Ravidas served as a guiding force from Kashi, advocating for societal unity and harmony. He added, “He challenged hollow rituals and superstitions and placed karma above all. 'Man changa to kathauti mein Ganga' remains relevant even today.”

Ayodhya’s Ongoing Transformation​

The chief minister also highlighted the scale of developmental work taking place under PM Modi’s leadership. He cited the restoration of Seer Govardhan in Kashi and outlined Ayodhya's own transformation — including the construction of four-lane roads, the Maharishi Valmiki International Airport, a food distribution centre named after Mata Shabari, a rest house in the name of Nishad Raj, and the beautification of Ram Ki Paidi and Saryu Ghat.

“Ayodhya was neglected after Independence but today, this city of the Suryavansh is emerging as the country’s first solar city, creating a new identity for itself,” Yogi said.

Government’s Commitment to Inclusive Growth​

Yogi Adityanath assured representatives from the Pasi community, Kabir Math, and Rajak community of the government’s unwavering commitment to inclusive development. He called for aligning personal commitment with national duty as the pathway to overcoming challenges and building a prosperous, just India rooted in the values of Sant Ravidas and Lord Ram.
