February 14, Poonch: A Mushaira (poetry gathering) was organized by the Rashtriya Rifles (6 Sector) as part of the annual Peer Panchaal Winter Festival at the Government Degree College Auditorium in Surankote. The event was attended by DDC Chairperson Tazeem Akhtar, Deputy Commissioner Poonch Ashok Kumar Sharma, and Commander 6 Sector RR, H. S. Dhillon, along with poetry enthusiasts and local residents.
Renowned poets and local literary figures recited verses that highlighted themes of peace, unity, and harmony, earning enthusiastic applause from the audience. The speakers praised the initiative, noting that such cultural programs preserve literary traditions and strengthen communal bonds. Commander 6 Sector RR emphasized the importance of community engagement through cultural activities, while local poet Pardeep Khanna thanked the Indian Army for organizing the event.
