Police File Case Against Ghasera Resident for Alleged Insult to National Flag

Incident Overview​

A case has been registered by the police against a resident of Ghasera village, Sakir, and several others for allegedly insulting the Indian national flag. The incident occurred on Monday, when a group of individuals, some of whom carried Palestinian flags, took part in a procession before offering Eid prayers in the village.

Alleged Incident​

According to the police, during the procession, one of the individuals, identified as Sakir, was seen waving the Indian national flag without the Ashoka Chakra. The group, which also held placards, called for peace and harmony in Palestine, as stated by the police.

An FIR was subsequently filed at the Nuh Sadar police station after a complaint was lodged by a police constable. The complaint alleges that Sakir, along with others, insulted the national flag by waving it in an improper manner.

Investigation Underway​

A video purportedly showing the incident has surfaced online, prompting further investigation by the authorities. A senior police officer confirmed that the matter is being looked into, and those responsible for the act will be arrested soon.
