New Delhi, May 11 – On the occasion of the fourth death anniversary of former Palam 360 Khap chief Chaudhary Ramkaran Solanki, Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid heartfelt tributes to the late leader and praised the ongoing "Cancer Free Delhi Rural" campaign, which was launched in his memory. The initiative, spearheaded by Solanki's son and current head of the khap, Chaudhary Surendra Solanki, is aimed at raising cancer awareness and providing free screenings in rural areas of Delhi.

Tribute to a Visionary Leader

In a letter dated May 9, Prime Minister Modi lauded Chaudhary Ramkaran Solanki's unwavering commitment to the welfare of farmers, laborers, and marginalized communities. He commended the efforts to carry forward Solanki's legacy through the "Cancer Free Delhi Rural" campaign, which aligns with national health programs such as Ayushman Bharat and Ayushman Arogya Mandirs.

"I pay my tribute to respected Chaudhary Ramkaran Solanki ji on his fourth death anniversary. The work done by Chaudhary Ramkaran Solanki ji for society and this effort to carry forward his ideals is commendable," Modi wrote. He emphasized the importance of accessible cancer detection and treatment in rural regions, highlighting that the initiative mirrors the national government's focus on inclusive healthcare.

A Collaborative Effort to Fight Cancer

The "Cancer Free Delhi Rural" campaign is a collaborative initiative between Chaudhary Surendra Solanki and the Amerix Cancer Hospital. The campaign launched at the Amerix Cancer Hospital in Dwarka, Delhi, on Saturday, focuses on offering free cancer screenings, organizing educational workshops, and conducting mobile health camps throughout Delhi's rural areas.

One of the key features of the campaign is the introduction of the "Sankalp" card. This card, offered by the Amerix Cancer Hospital, provides patients with up to 50% off on cancer screening tests, including Pap smears, PSA tests, mammography, and other cancer-related services. The initiative aims to make cancer care more accessible, especially in underserved rural communities.

Political Support and Community Impact

The campaign has garnered the support of several prominent political figures, including Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Bharatiya Janata Party president J.P. Nadda, and South Delhi MP Ramvir Singh Bidhuri. Bidhuri, who was present at the campaign's launch, praised Chaudhary Solanki for his efforts in uniting communities and addressing critical rural issues.

Chaudhary Surendra Solanki, reflecting on the legacy of his father, emphasized the importance of cancer awareness in rural areas. "This is not just a tribute to my father's legacy, but a pledge to serve rural communities with dignity and access. No one should lose a loved one because of a late cancer diagnosis and a lack of accessible cancer care," Solanki stated.

A Step Toward Accessible Healthcare

Dr. Ashish Gupta, the Chief of Medical Oncology at the Amerix Cancer Hospital, underscored the healthcare impact of the initiative. He shared, "Our goal is to democratize cancer care and create a community-driven health ecosystem. Early detection can save lives, and our mobile screening vans and awareness teams are committed to reaching the last mile."

The support from Prime Minister Modi has further strengthened the resolve of the campaign, encouraging those involved to continue their mission of improving healthcare access in rural regions.

Through this campaign, Chaudhary Ramkaran Solanki's legacy continues to inspire efforts toward better healthcare, particularly for those in rural Delhi who may have limited access to essential medical services.
